Abstract :
The ranking module represents a significant component in web search engines. The main function of the ranking module is to sort the search results by relevance or importance using information retrieval (IR) algorithms. Distributed page ranking are needed because the size of the web grows at a remarkable speed and centralized page ranking is not scalable.in this paper we address the problem of enhancing the performance of a language specific page ranking. This page ranking is responsible for sorting the search results of an Arabic search engine. in our previous phase of research [6] is very efficient ranking technique for Arabic search results, but it is relatively slow. This paper presents an enhanced Arabic ranking module by parallelizing its components. This parallelization achieves high performance when applied on web pages with large sizes.
