Abstract
Excessive occlusal wear can result in occlusal disharmony, functional and esthetic impairment. Patients with severe tooth wear present with shortened clinical crowns and reduced interocclusal space. The treatment becomes harder as space availability for well contoured prosthetic restorations becomes limited. This case report addresses the clinical and laboratory steps involved in oral rehabilitation of a 55-year old woman with severely worn dentition and generalized teeth hypersensitivity. Crown lengthening as well as increasing of vertical dimension were both necessary in order to gain space for the definitive restorations. A night guard was also used to protect these restorations.
