Abstract :
1960s and 1970s are a historical period of separation especially in leftist political movement of Turkey. In the context of political separation, an important development of this period is, undoubtedly, the separation of Kurds from the Turkish left and the emergence of an independent Kurdish organization on the basis of “Kurdish identity”, with the establishment of the Revolutionary Eastern Cultural Hearts (RECH/DDKO). For this reason, the establishment of DDKOs is a turning point in terms of Kurdish politicization in Turkey. In this study the importance of DDKOs in Turkey will be discussed in the context of political separation. In this framework, the issues such as in what kind of a social and political environment DDKOs have emerged, the reason of abandoning Turkish left and the establishment of DDKOs, the main purpose of DDKOs, the closure of DDKOs and aftermath process will be discussed in relation with the mentioned period‟s social and political environment.
