Abstract
The salient aspects of the sperm tail differentiation in the lizard, Bunopus tuberculatus have been described at the ultrastructural level. The process of differentiation involved the development of neck region, and middle main and end pieces. Axonemal complex extended throughout the last three pieces. A fibrous sheath encircled the axonemal complex in middle and main pieces and ensheathed by mitochondria in the middle piece only. End piece encompassed only the axonemal complex.
