Abstract :
This paper examines ratios of the two languages, Indonesia and Makassar. The study intents to recognize certain aspects of the prevailing sound in the Indonesian language and determination rules in Makassar and change the sound, there are sound reasons why the eternal and nothing has changed, and how to shape the sound of the eternal and the sound has changed. Methods of data collection conducted by field research and library research. Research field conducted to obtain primary data, while the research literature conducted to obtain secondary data. The method of writing using descriptive comparative method.The results showed that free sound changes can occur because sound legal differences that apply in both languages. Instead, the sound remains the same could happen because of phonological structure and sound the same in both languages.
