Abstract
This essay was an early perspective on how children at the age of two and above response to wh-questions. The main purposed of this study was to report on the forms of questions asked by Malay children’s. Despite that most of local studies seldom discussed on this issue. Except from that, the greater understanding of these questions was so important for adults in order for them to fulfill the children’s needs and desires. The findings shows that children’s at this age were more dominant to used wh-questions inappropriately. Thus, the children’s below two years old tend to asked questions using ‘apa’ (what) and ‘mana’ (where) on the basis form and sometimes they used on many variation. Despite from that, the findings also shows that Malay children at the age of two prone to use closed wh-questions, meaning that questions using the word ‘boleh’ (can/can I).
