ISLAMIC THOUGHTS IN ‘AYN BY KEMALA

This article discusses on related Islamic that is lack of focus in the field of Islamic literary criticism. In order to highlight Islamic poetries that are able to manifest the greatness of Allah SWT, the authors had brought up Islamic thoughts and ideas in the writings of these poetries. Studies that include three aspects of Islamic key principles: akidah, syariat and akhlaq have been found in most Islamic works; that could easily be portrayed as a call for the readers to follow ways in which to strengthen one’s believe in God specifically. Therefore, this paper discusses on the thoughts found in Islamic poetries by Kemala in his anthology of poetry entitled, ‘Ayn. Takmilah theory is applied in these poems. The theory is perceived to be apt in explicating the Islamic values resembled in these poems. The study found that ‘Ayn portrayed the sense of awareness on the aspect of being a responsible author that according to Islam as being the khalifah of Allah SWT. This is highly important as this would lead the readers to become al-kamil and to always be obedient and believe in Allah SWT.
