Abstract :
This study was designed and carried out in order to determine sales efforts that cateringfirms used to tout for custom and whether these efforts were considered ethical by the customers.While 31,6% of the participants were content with the catering firms, 10,9% of the participantswere not, and 57,5% of the total population mentioned that they were partly content with thefirms. The participants stated that they were not content with the catering firms due to thefact that the food was untasteful (25,8%) and that the service was not satisfactory (25,5%).Of all the sales efforts that catering firms used to tout for custom, the one that the consumersconsidered the most unethical was individual sales efforts with an average of 3,73 %.
