STUDENTS’ ATTİTUDES TOWARDS USING MATERIALS AT BIOLOGY LESSON

It is necessary to take advantage of using different types of materials while teaching topics to students. Presenting knowledge by using different types of materials will result students’ learning with their interpretation and this type of learning will be more permanent This investigation is made among students who are attending biology lesson at first class of high school in İzmir. Aim of the investigation is determine students’ attitudes towards using materials at biology lesson.While making investigation survey type is used. The survey is made among 334 first class students at high school in İzmir. According to analysis, reliability of scale is found α: 0,8783. Inputs which are obtained from survey are transffered to SPSS11 program in computer. Teachers should use methods which are most suitable for their students’ learning style. In order to provide this teachers should know different types of teaching methods and techniques.
