Abstract :
This research was conducted to determine the views of primary school teachers and headmasters on the application of teacher performance development in schools. In this research, to see whether there is a significant difference in implementation of teacher performance development, the views of teachers and headmasters were examined according to their mission and only the views of the teachers were examined according to their position, education and branches. The universe is Sakarya province and the sample of the research is consisted of 356 teachers and 34 headmasters who work in Adapazarı. In data analysis, arithmetic mean, t test and variance analysis were used. According to the survey results, the views of teachers and headmasters differ by their mission to “the school environment to improve performance”, “the performance guidance of headmasters” and “teacher’s learning and development activities”.While there is no difference among the teachers’ views on the realization of the application ofteacher performance development according to their branches, there is difference according totheir education and position.
