Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to determine effective citizenship of student teachers’ proficiency levels. Two-dimensional measuring tool is used for this purpose.In the spring semester of 2009-2010 academic year, totally 317 student teachers, 182 female (57%) and 135 male (43%) participated in the research respectively. In the analysis, nonparametric tests, Kruskal-Wallis H and Mann-Whitney U was used. As a result, in favor of the male student teachers significant differences were found in the dimention of citizenship information skills. According to the family income levels of the student teacher, in the total scale, when compared the medium level of income with the low level of income significant differences also were found in favor of medium level of income. It was observed that the main fields of study which is student teachers attain and the location of which the families of the student teachers live and the number of sibling of student teacher led no significant differences.
