A COMPARISON BETWEEN GENERAL SUCCESS POINTS AND TECHNICAL POINTS OF THE PIANO STUDENTS INTENDED FOR THE CLASS LEVEL

In this study general success points and technical success points of the students taken from the piano final exam in 2009 – 2010 spring semester has been compared according to the class variable. Success of the students has been determined by the “Piano Exam Evaluation Scale”. In evaluation process the relation between technical skill points of the students taken from both etude and piece level, total points of technical and piece level and general success points have been compared. In measuring process technical skill points in etude and piece level and general success points has been compared according to the class level and results has been evaluated. At the end of the study positive relation have been determined between technical skill points and general success points. According to the obtained results concluded that points of 3rd class students in etude level and points of 4th class students in piece level are highly. Towards collected results some evaluations and suggestions has been made.
