VIEWPOINTS OF TEACHER AND PARENTS ON THE AIM OF PRESCHOOL EDUCATION

In this study, it has been aimed to reveal the perception and viewpoints of teacher and parents about the aim of preschool education. Totally 649 subjects of 302 whom were teachers in 23 primary schools and 3 kindergartens, and 347 parents of the children whom are getting education in these schools participated to the research in Kastamonu. A questionnaire developed by the researcher named “perception and viewpoint on the aim of preschool education questionnaire” to put forth the parents and teachers’ viewpoints about the aim of preschool education was used and a personal information form was used for the teachers and parent demographic information. In the analysis of the data independent group t-test and one-way ANOVA was used. Significant differences have been found in the aim of preschool education according to the teachers and parents in the dimension of both preparation to school and preparation to life.
