Appropriateness in Pakistani Fiction

Pakistani writers of Post-Colonial fiction have employed mainly two ways to use language for their own suitable purpose that is appropriateness and abrogation. This allowed them to manipulate language to make it suitable to their culture and tendencies. Abrogation roughly speaking meant to neglect or remove certain elements, words and style of language and side by side, Appropriate- ness meant to adopt or mould language items, structures or vocabulary to represent ones own culture and atmosphere. This appropriateness of center made the text of Pakistani Post-Colonial writers look more indigenous than foreign, though the medium of expression was essentially foreign. Here, we shall try to explain how much the Appropriateness is available in the selected works of famous writers of postcolonial era, especially from Pakistan, with a focus on discovering the extent to which these writers have deviated from the centre
