Obituary: Professor Parvaneh Vossough

Iranian pediatric hematology and oncology community has suffered a great loss, as Professor Parvaneh Vossough, pioneer of modern pediatric hematology and oncology in Iran passed away on May 19, 2013 at the age of 78. She studied medicine at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and completed her internship and pediatric residency at renowned medical centers in the United States. Afterwards, she moved to Washington D.C.
