Abstract :
Cystic lesions of the pancreas are relatively rare and are commonly seen in adults. Among these, pseudocysts, either post-traumatic or post-inflammatory following acute pancreatitis, are the commonest.1 True congenital pancreatic cysts on the other hand are extremely rare.2,3,4,5,6 This report describes a 4-month-old female infant with a large congenital cyst of the pancreas. The literature on the subject is also reviewed.
