Abstract
Printmaking, which is an art including creative process and printing. In printmaking the mold is prepared by the artist. Lithography has been prepared for the first time in 18th Century. In our country, the first lithography workshop was established in 1830. The lithography was used to satisfy the needs of the army for the first time in the Ottoman Empire. The person who used lithography for the first time for an artistic purpose was Hoca Ali Riza. He used lithography techniques in order to improve the drawing lines and patterns of the students. The most important lithography examples of the Turkish Art Paintings were created by Hoca Ali Rıza. Three separate qualifications up to a total of nine albums, three hundred lithography printings are available. These lithograph prints are reaching the first modern examples of printmaking. Hoca Ali Rıza s artistic lithography techniques in terms of pictures and samples has been a source of inspiration for many artists.
