Abstract :
Since its establishment in 2001, the Saudi Society of Nephrology (SSN) for Renal Diseases and Kidney Transplantation has aimed in its Article Two to achieve eight objectives. These are (1) to develop and activate scientific thinking in areas related to the Society s field of specialties, (2) to establish an active scientific communication among Society members, (3) to extend scientific advice in field of specialties, (4) to develop the professional and scientific practice of the Society members, (5) to ease the exchange of research outcomes and scientific ideas between local and foreign agencies and institutes concerned, (6) to participate in setting up plans related to renal diseases and transplant (including protection and treatment), (7) to participate in spreading public health awareness and to provide support for renal disease and (8) to coordinate with all agencies and institutes sharing the aforesaid objectives.
