Abstract
Rhetoric is the art of language that emphasis on politeness, good language skills and the ability to communicate either verbally or in writing. Creative writing was selected as the research focus in order to depict effective use of rhetoric in creative writing that have communication functions between the author and the readers directly or indirectly. This study was conducted based on Figure of Rhetorical Style founded by Corbett and Connors (1999) adapted from Classical Rhetoric Theory Aristotle by using few statement about rhetoric from some scholars to support arguments in data analysis using qualitative methods. This study focuses on one objective, which is to identify and analyse the rhetorical scheme style in the novel Salina (1996). The analysis emphasize on rhetorical scheme style used by A. Samad Said that include construction, repetition, omission, and hyperbaton. Clearly, the understanding of a speaker and the author on the concept and importance as well as the efficient use of rhetoric would help them to produce a properly good speech and creative writing
