THE PRINCIPLE OF PLANNING IN HIKAYAT AWANG SULUNG MERAH MUDA

This paper presents a cross disciplinary assessment of a new approach in the world of Malay literature folklore. It attempts to examine an aspect of modern management in Hikayat Awang Sulung Merah Muda. Discussions of issues were based on management approach pointed by Mohamad Mokhtar Abu Hassan in 2013. Library Research and content or text analyses methods were applied. The main objective is to analyze the principles of planning in the Hikayat Awang Sulung Merah Muda. These principles of planning were analyzed based on the dimensional design to set objectives, dimension developing strategies, the dimension of alternative options, alternative steps dimension evaluation, dimension to choose one or multi technique, and the dimension review of its effectiveness to achieve objectives. The results shows that the principles of planning in the Hikayat Awang Sulung Merah Muda are significant to describe intelligency of the leader based on the literature structure. It appears that planning management sparkled by planning dimensions played by character displayed. In conclusion, the principles of planning uphold the managerial aspect in traditional literary text.
