REASON TO BEGIN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 14-16 THE BRANCHES OF BASKETBALL PLAYERS AND THEIR EXPECTATIONS IN ANKARA

The aim of this study is to realize the reasons and expectations of basketball; which is between 14-16 male and female in Ankara. The data in this study was collected by a questioneer. The reliability coeffinciency of the questionee rwhich is been constructed b yth eguidence of experts is calculated is ,95. The population of the environmen tare about 450 sportmen; The population of the study consists of 169 sportmen who are playing in 16 different provinces.The analysis of the data was conducted through frequences and percentages. In order to review the difference among the sportsmen’s opinions according to gender and age. In case the difference was significant, Fischer’s test ANOVA technique was used.The result of research revealed that family had great effect for sportmen to start playing basketball, whereas TV- press had little effect on dealing witht his sport. Besides the reason for dealing with basketball in Ankara were indicated to be attracted by this sport and pleasure of being succesfull. On the other hand, the expectations of basketball players were indicated to be healty, maintain their health and make their living as succesfull sportmen.
