ASSESSMENT OF DOPING CONTROL APPLICATIONS OF NATIONAL SPORTS FEDERATIONS IN TURKEY

The aim of this study is to assess the campaigns of Turkish national sports federations and make a rational evaluation about the doping control mechanism by analysing professional athletes doping control systematic. In this respect, international doping control organizations and athletes’ current conditions were analysed. The data used in this study was obtained from official websites of Turkish sports federations included in the sampling group and from relevant people and officials of national federation through interviews where necessary. National federations’ perspectives on doping were examined. Therefore, it was attempted to assess the policy applied in Turkey against doping. As a result, it was determined that federations cannot perform athletes’ doping controls adequately as there is no national doping centre in Turkey.
