AN EVALUATION ON THE REPORT ABOUT EARLY YEARS OF THE REPUBLIC S PRISONS

This article discusses the situation at the beginning of the republican era prisons. It has addressed the major issues remaining from the Ottoman Empire in prison. In addition, a report on prisons has also been subject. This report is prepared at the end of 1931 a review written on 13 different prisons in Turkey. Shortcomings and offered suggestions described in the report is discussed together with the practices carried out in the next few years. Efforts are incompatible with the results shown in the prison problem occurred.
