  • Abstract
    Turkey s not joining 2nd WW and thus staying out of physical war in fronts couldn t prevent it from having hard times in terms of politics, economy and sociality. On the contrary, it went through all the difficulties of war in all aspects. Everything that happened together with the actions of those who benefited from war caused blackmarket to appear and food and property difficulties; cost of living not only affected economical subjects but also social life. In domestic politics the subjects that give governments hardest time was supplying military and publics main food bread. While it was aimed not to leave the community without bread with other laws and food ticket application that was to regulate the bread consumption, the problems during the application caused the discussions to go on after the war. In this study, in the years of war when mainly bread and many foods were imposed to tickets, the powder and bread problems in Ayvalık and the economical and social effects of the solutions on the community will be presented.
