Thereby requests in the satellite states of the Soviet Union where these two countries Turkey and Greece has furnished USA’s support against the revisionist are surrounded by. Hence, during 1950-1960, the center right Elinikos Sinagermos (Greece Revival) party of Greece under its leader named Alexandros Papagos and the Etniki Rizospastiki Enosis (Radical National Unity) Party and the rightist Democrat Party of Adnan Menderes in Turkey have stepped up to power. The Balkan Treaty Organization which was signed between Turkey and Greece in 1953 and Bled Agreement which was signed in 1954 have only remained as mere friendship agreements under the influential shadow of 6-7th of September 1955 events.
