Abstract :
In this research, the attitude of a group of 250 girls and boys between the ages of 10 and 18,which were exposed to physical and mental violence, towards domestic violence (spouse abuse) has been studied. The idea which states that the father is the natural leader of the household and therefore a married woman cannot act independent from her husband, had been deeply rooted inside the children’s minds and this can easily be reflected by the tables. It has been verified that the majority of both the girls (%87,4) and the boys (%79,7) living in Altındağ thinks that the husband’s exertion of violence towards her wife in case she doesn’t fulfill her matrimonial duties, is justifiable. It can be defended that domestic violence, which affects and is witnessed by children, seriously intensifies their judgement of the phenomenon
