Abstract
This survey is held to determine the before match anxiety level of undergraduate national taekwondo players and analyse according to some variables. Research staff is consisted of 50 national taekwondo players who joined intercollegiate Turkey championship which is held in the city Ordu. As the means of data collection Spielberger’s Situational anxiety scale is used. Translation the research into Turkish, reliability and validity measurements are done by Öner and Le Compte (1983). On obtained data for dual comparison Kruskal Wallis H test is used and for multiple comparisons Mann Whitney-u test is used. At the end of the survey no meaningful correlation between students’ gender, age, university, sport experience age and before match anxiety level was found (p 0,05). As a result, university students’ anxiety level from national taekwondo team may be affected by sexes, ages, university, and sport experience.
