Liputan berita tentang Indonesia di Malaysia:Analisis Kandungan Utusan Malaysia dan Berita Harian

The mass media, specifically Malaysian newspaper dailies have been known to widely report foreign news, allocating sufficient space within their paper to cover important issues from neighbouring countries. This research gives focus to Indonesian news reports that have been published in the foreign news section. Content analysis was utilised in studying the content of Indonesian news written in Bahasa Malaysia found in Utusan Malaysia and Berita Harian. In-depth interviews with representatives from both these newspapers were also conducted to further strengthen this research. Findings show that both these newspapers publish political,socio-cultural and crime based news on Indonesia. Both newspapers have subscribed to foreign and international news agencies
