Abstract :
The profession of dentistry needs more physical attention with the same position of work than the other medical occupations. Working at the same position with a long time period and inappropriate using of muscoskelatal system, generally cause mechanical pain problems due to their occupation. The aim of this study was to determine the muscoskelatal problems depends on working positions and occupation on dentists. A structured questionnaire was administered to 116 dentists that work for the Ministry of Health at oral health care clinics, %62,06 of dentist has mechanical pain at least last year among who attempt this study, the problems identified an average of 6 years after they starting to work as dentist, the main problems among the dentists were in %40,27 lumbosacral area, %36,11 at servical area and % 19.44 wrist area respectively The findings of this study showed that, working with the same position for a long period without changing their position or giving not enough resting time between patients appointments and working conditions also doing not enough regular exercise lead to muskoskelatal problems in dentists.
