Abstract :
Cyclopentadienyl ruthenium thiocarboxylate dinuclear complexes of the general formula (μ-Z)[CpRu(L)(L Œ)SCO]2 {Cp= (eta)^5-C5H5; L= L = PPh3 (1); 1/2 dppe (2); L= CO, L = PPh3 (3), Z= 1,4-C6H4 (a), 1,3-C6H4 (b), (CH2)4 (c)}, were prepared directly by reacting the cyclopentadienyl ruthenium hydrogensulfido complexes CpRu(L)(L )SH with diacid chlorides (1,4-ClCOC6H4COCl, 1,3-ClCOC6H4COCl and ClCO(CH2)4COCl) in THF at room temperature. The new dinuclear complexes have been characterized by spectroscopic methods (FT-IR, 1H-NMR and 31P-NMR) and by elemental analysis.
