Pemikiran A. Hassan Bandung : Nasikh mansukh dan al-am dan al-khas dalam al-Quran

A. Hassan Bandung was considered as an intellectual with controversial stands in the South East Asian region during his time. His opinion on impurity of pig (najis) for instance received strong criticism from other scholars of the region. His work illuminated a special development of knowledge of the society of his time. Polemics on his opinions are still going 10 this day. He was one of the reformist thinkers of the region and has published more works compared to other reformists. His taught that intensified the differences between two major thought of the day revealed the diversity of thought of fiqh in Islam. Therefore, this article will elucidate some of A. Hassan Bandung controversial thought such as sources of law, abrogation in the Qur'an and general as well as specific terms in the Qur'an.
