Syeikh Nuruddin al-Raniri dan sumbangannya kepada pengajian al-hadith

This biographical of the 17th Century Nusantara Muslim scholar, Syeikh Nuruddin al-Raniri attempts to elaborate his conception of knowledge and contribution to various areas of Islamic Studies. A well-known scholar who stands on the same level of authority as Syeikh Daud al-Fatani and Syeikh Abdul Samad al-Palimbani, Syeikh al-Raniri has produced masterpieces on Fiqh, Theology, Tafsir and Tasawwuf and a few others in other areas. In the study of al-Hadith, al-Raniri is considered to be the first Muslim scholar of the region to produce a book in Jawi script entitled al-Fawa'id al-Bahiyyah fi al-Aḥādith alNabawiyyah.
