Ketokohan Yusuf al-Qaradawi dan sumbangannya dalam bidang hadis: Perbincangan mengenai pandangannya dalam pembahagian sunnah kepada tasyriiyyah dan ghayr tasyriiyyah

Yusuf al-Qaradawi is an outstanding Muslim contemporary scholar whose major contribution to fiqh in all aspects. Nonetheless, he also contributes to hadith studies by producing several books on it. He attempts to correct Muslim's understanding what was really meant by the Prophet in his sayings and doings. This problem appears may be due to misunderstanding of such a hadith because not all of his actions can be considered as an absolute command from the Prophet. For, there are hadiths where the Prophet p.b.u.h. uttered in different capacity such as a ordinary human being, a ruler, a judge or as his personal experience. The article attempts to analyze al-Qaradawi's view with regard to two categories of al-sunnah tasyri'iyyah and ghayr tasyri'iyyah.
