Abstract :
One of the important issue in history teaching is that the lesson is perceived as memorization and due to this, history is teached with telling. Education focused on high stakes tests and extensiveness of the curriculum cause reproduction of issues and transform the teachers to technicians who are narrators. The aim of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of the in service education, called “Innovative History Teaching”, which drived thirty lessons. In that descriptive equalitative research, data collected from teachers are analyzed by content and descriptive analysis. The teachers stated that the curriculum was efficent and in the process of innovative history teaching methods, they faced with issues which are root in preparedness of student, physicalstructure of school building, economical, poorness of timing, the anxinety of finishing the curriculum.
