Farming System Research and Extension; Case Study of Dairy

Some faculties and vocational schools of universities, such as agriculture, veterinary, aquaculture, food science, forest, are related to agriculture based on 3 functions such as Education, Research and Development, and Extension. The structural problems of agriculture sector (technical, economical, and social) in developing countries are still going on due to lack of collaboration link within Research, Farming Systems, and Extension. The model of “Farming System Research and Extension” for dairy sector in Konya was been studied as survey in order to explained farming system research and extension collaboration link. The study’s target is to help dissemination of farming system research and extension by publications. The objective of the study is help creating integrated cycle of agricultural production from input, production, possessing, recycling, and using recycling material as input again based on farm or regional levels. The materials of study were collected from surveys in Ereğli, Çumra, Sarayönü, Karapınar, Ilgın, Karatay, Meram ve Selçuklu towns of Konya, Turkey. Also literatures and applications of farming systems research and extension in developed countries were used as the material of the study.
