Abstract :
In this research was conducted to determine the effects of different row spacing and in-row spacing on seed yield and soma agricultural components of cowpea in the Hatay ecological conditions in 2009. The experiment was established as “Factorial Experimental Design” with tree replications. Tree cowpea genotype (Sarıgöbek, Karnıkara and Samandag) were used as a material in this study with different row spacing (50, 60 and 70 cm), intra-row spacing (10, 15 and 20 cm). According to the results of the research, statistically significant differences were found between genotypes, row spacing and in-row spacing of the seed yield. As the mean of row spacing and in-row spacing of seed yield was 131.74 kg.da^-1 from Karnıkara genotype. The highest seed (110.42 kg.da^-1) of the mean of genotypes and in-row spacing was obtained at the 50 cm row spacing. In the mean of genotypes and row spacing, the highest seed (110.95 kg.da^-1) was obtain at the 10 cm in-row spacing. The highest seed yield was determined as 50 x 10 cm plant density for Karnıkara in ecological conditions of The Mediterranean province.
