  • Abstract
    In this study, the sources of risk and the perception level of risk strategies are investigated in the agricultural holdings of Çumra. The data were used for this study has been acquired from 66 agricultural holdings by the face to face survey method. According to 5-point likert scale method, risk was evaluated with 36 pieces of risk variables and 11 pieces of risk management strategies variables by farmers. Factor analysis was applied to the data were obtained from research. As a result of factor analysis, prominent sources of risk are climatic factors, farm location, social factors, diseases and pests, capital, technology, animal health, market and financial factors. Risk management strategies were determined as the adoption of innovations, the fight against diseases and pests, organization, financial control and increasing the efficiency of production.
