Abstract :
As well as, economic development, production and increase of the income per person , modification and renewal of economic and socio- cultural structure are required. There is a close relationship between development and industrialization. Because there is an increase of labor from agriculture to industry and from industry to services sector with development. In this case, the industrial sector is the engine of development. However, service industry which comes to the most important place among the other industries with the help of the volume of employment in advanced economies, value-added and variation in the structure of consumption is not a sub-sector anymore. It has become one of the criteria determining the levels of development of countries. Education is a sub-sector of the service sector.Education except from being a sub-sector in terms of the economic mechanism and if the concentration of unskilled labor in the agriculture is taken into account contributes to upbring labor force to industry and services sector which need skilled labor force. In other words, education both contributesto the formation of the national income and provides input to the industrial and services sectors which have the highest contribution to the development of the national income in the economy. It contributes to the formation of the labor force, which is the most important factors of production In this study, the role of education in economic development has been tried to explain factual information and findings, then with reference to the direction of consumption of education, it is tried to explain that the University of Centenary College of Profession which is an educational institution has livened the economy in the place where it is located. The material on this study, are tried to be provided primary and secondary sources Especially, economic effects of education which is taken theoretical is examined by using secondary sources as books, articles, web pages, documents and statistics The chapter on the instance of Ercis, the primary sources are used and, it is interviewed face to face with the authorized people on financial, staff, and students of Vocational School of Ercis ,the survey is applied to to measure the impact of spendings on trade sector SPSS for Windows statistical program is used for the evaluation of the data obtained In the study, the aspect of consumer of education is evaluated and Vocational School of the University o is a sample about this topic. So, it is examined how the expendituresof college students and personnel effects trademens, artisans and Merchant of the town. as well as Educational institutions contributes to the country s economy by educating qualified personnel(production aspect of education), it contributes to economic growth with its spending (consumption aspects of education) Centenary University Ercis Vocational School which is one of the educational institutions is a one of the vocational schools 668 vocational schools in turkey of which 643 state vocational school and 25 foundation university .Simple percentages and cross tabulations are used in the study. Expenditure of the questions on the survey are limited with Erciş high school. SPSS (Statistical Packet for Social Sciences) for Windows software is used to evaluate the data The main materials of study is the original data collected from 174 people who are consist of 84 students and 22 staff and 67 trades chosen by using stratified random sampling method these three groups are addressed separately on questionnaires assessing. The data obtained from this study shows that Ercis vocational college has a huge impact and conribution on the the economy of Ercis. Survey which is one of the two instruments used in applied research method is used in the survey because the study is an empirical study In this method used, both technique of asking question which are close and open-ended questions are used The survey is carried for three separate groups. Sampling technique is applied to determined main mass of 1062 people for students . Accordingly 5% significance level and 5% margin of error are taken into consideration because it is wanted that the example shows the properties of the population from which is selected without showing any deviation and is to be large enough. So, it is needed to take minimum 53 for the main mass of 1062, 2 for the main mass of 38, 40 for the main mass of 910 but 84 for the students, 22 for the staff and 67 for the artisan are taken into account by increasing the position of the size of the sample in this study. These three survey is applied in april and june of 2010 year. Education and education investments are one of the factors that contributes to the formation of human capital. Expenditures for the development of human capital is a type of investment which effects the level of production with the development of human factor who has current consumption and also the production factor in the future. Due to these two features, education has a different location from other economic goods and services. In this aspect, economics of education starts to show itself in this centruy when it is a science. The following results are obtained from the studies done about Ercis vocational high school: According to the studies, approximately 70 percent of the students who are studying in ercis vocational high school are not from ercis.( mostly in the eastern and southeastern parts of Turkey). Approximately, 50 percent of these students’ montly income is between 200 and 300 tl and about 60 percent of the students provide this income from their families. Approximately, 50 per cent of the families’ income which are examined in the examples is between 500 and 1000 tl. Approximately, 90 per cent of the students spend less than 50 tl for their education. They spend for their transportation between 50 and 100 tl. According to the studies, approximately , 70 per cent of the staff interviewed are married and has three or four population. Nearly, 80 mper cent of these families spend all their income. Approximately 40% of staff income is between 2000 and 2,500 tl. 30 percent of the people spend between 50 and 100 tl for their transportation and they spend between 200 and 300 tl for their foods. Third group is artisans who sell gift, shoe and who are hairdressers etc. in the city. 80 per cent of the artisans say that their sells are increasing when the students are in the Ercis. Finally, education having a very important position fort he development of the country has a big significance because it eliminate the regional imbalances by activation of the aspect of consumption. Especially, demand pressure created by members of the university is important in the aspect of being immersive sector. This situation holds economic recovery constant. with the effect of mechanism of acceleration.
