Abstract :
In Turkey, Health Transformation Program has been practiced since 2003 and one of the major components of this program is Family Medicine (FM) Model. The family physcian provides countining, comprehensive care in a personalized manner to patients of all ages, regardless of the presence of disaise orr nature of the presenting compliant. The family physciansaccept responsibility for managing an individuals total healh needs while maintaining an intimate, confidential relationship with the patient. General practitioners/family physicians exercise their professional role by promoting health, preventing disease and providing cure, care, or palliation. The aim of the study is to assess the structural and functional characteristics of family health centers in Konya by using Primary Care Assessment Survey (PCAS). The study was conducted in 2013. In the scope of the research, face to face interview technique was used with 287 participant who apply to Family Physician Units with the number 1,15 and 28 in Konya. The collected data were analyzed and descriptive statistics was performed on them. Research was carried out between November 2013- January 2014.The study 67,6% of the sample was female, 39,7%’of respondents were high school; 90,6 %were SSI, 73,5% were married and 40,4’% of the housewife and unemployed. All questions how would you rate your satisfaction with your doctor when you consider the question of participants from 39 people (13.6%) I m more than happy, 107 people (37.3%) very satisfied, 70 people (24.4%) little satisfied, 51 people (17.8%) neither satisfied nor am 10 people (3.5%) somewhat satisfied and 10 people (3.5%) if not completely, was the answer could not have been worse. As the result of the study, the participants were generally satisfied with the services of family medicine. Also, it is evaluated that, the system s accessibility, continuity, comprehensiveness, personal approach, confidence and patient satisfaction perspective is positive but the coordination is negative. The results obtained in this study is consistent with findings in the literature.
