Because of its location, it combines civilizations from East-West to North-South, directs trade and ancient traders absulately used this route. The most important trade road which is known in ancient times is King Road that is from the west of Anatolia to Susa and Persopolis the connections between King Road and the sea in the Eastern Mediterranean are the gateways and roads between Cappadocia and Cilicia. Furthermore ages ago when there wasn’t King Road in the age of Assyrian Trade Colonies (B.C.1951-B.C.1750), which was the most important term of the beginning of trade in Northern Syria, Mesopotamia and Central Anatolia , the gateways and the roads in Cilicia connected the sea to Cappadocia. Althogh this gateways and the roads were important for trade, they were the facilitator ways of invasionfor the great invading kings. The second most important road which is connected Cappadocia to Cilicia, Northern Syria, Mesopotamia and Mediterranean Sea is a route that includes Kayseri, Gezbel, Hanyeri, Tufanbeyli, Obruk Gate, Saimbeyli, Feke, Kozan, Ceyhan. This route has been used since the age of Assyrian Trade Colonies and the Hittite Kingdom period. However there are some evidences about this route, which is a part of about 40 kms. in the South of Obruk Gate, that it is not used currently. It was discovered that the route was in the east of Obruk Gate. The purpose of this research to show up the most useful route which has been used throughout the history. Because there are not any academic research about this road and its settlement. A part of this route, which is between Üsküyen gate that is currently in Akkaya Village and Sıralıf Village that is in the 5 kms. North of Kozan was probably in the east. The centre of this road is Uğurlubağ (Hefkereyebakan) Castle has controlled over Meryemçil Gate and the road which is connected Elmedere (Almadere) Gate to Üsküyen Gate. Furthermore this road is opened out Cevizlidere which is in the west into Üsküyen Gate. In the North, it is contrelled over Kayadarlığı Gate and the road which is in the North of Üsküyen Gate. In other words, the road is in the middle of the roads which are both in the North and the South of Üsküyen Gate. It connects Tenkerli – Tekeç Road to Feke in the northeast. Furthermore the castle is connected with Karasis Castle – Kozan Road in the South. The castle in the village refers to the Middle Ages. However you can see monumental rock tombs around the village refers to Rome Term. Because of the closing of Cevizlidere road in a term of a history, the route probably moved to South after Üsküyen Gate. So this route, the settlement and the cemetery have not been watched out for a long time.
