Abstract :
In the Soviet Union, the Kyrgyz used three different alphabets (Arabic, Latin, Cyrillic). These alphabets changed according to the social and political conditions of the period. In particular, the way in which the Communist Party is reflected in newspapers, one of the major propaganda tools, can be seen as an important reference point in terms of seeing the reasons for the change of the alphabet and understanding the circumstances of the period. In particular, the process of transition to the Cyrillic alphabet was explained to the public through the press, so the public could adapt to this situation. The Communist Party explained in the newspapers why the Cyrillic alphabet was necessary and the alphabet was introduced. Here, evaluations will be carried out within the framework of studies on transition to the Cyrillic alphabet. In this sense, the process of transition to the Cyrillic alphabet will be observed through the newspapers published during that period on the Soviet Union territory of Kyrgyzstan. From the point of the subject; this study will try to analyze the news of 1940 and 1941 in the newspapers of Red Kyrgyzstan and Soviet Kyrgyzstan.
