Abstract :
Tumors of fibrous tissue origin (fibromatosis) inchest and mediastinum have been rarely reportedin the literature. Herein, we report a rare case ofaggressive fibromatosis presenting as an intratho-racic tumor. A 36-year-old woman admitted to ourhospital due to a feeling of oppression and painin the left chest. A chest X-ray, thorax computedtomography revealed a large mass filling two thirdsof lower left thorax. Widely surgical resection ofthe tumor was performed thoracotomy via seventhintercostal space. The tumor was 20x15x15 mm insize and diagnosed pathologically as aggressivefibromatosis. The patient has been well withoutrecurrence for 15 months after surgery.
