Synthesis and study of some mixed ligand complexes of Caffeine, y-picoline and Thiocyanate with some metal ions

This paper presents the preparation and study of some mixed ligand complexes of caffeine, y-picoline and thiocyanete ions with some metal ions. The reaction was carried out in (1:1) ethanol: water mixture using the appropriate molar ratio of metal: ligand (1:1:1:2) as required. The resulting products were found to be solid crystalline complexes which have been characterized by using I.R, U.V-Visible spectra, elemental analysis, thermal stability, molar conductivity and magnetic properties.
