Abstract
Calibration is a sequence of operations which are monitoring, checking, reporting and adjusting of measurement instruments in manufacturing area for deviations from specific values. In this study calibration process is reviewed in an automotive plant which produces passenger coaches. Historical data for last two years was investigated and determined actual workloads of calibration service in daily, monthly and yearly bases. Workload smoothing was applied in an empirical way. Consequently, it was obtained more efficient calibration service and reduced waiting times.
