Abstract :
In this study, formaldehyde treated upon the colour elaegnus angustifalia seeds for immobilize. The effect of pH of solution, dye concentration, adsorbent dosage and solution temperature were investigated for Adsorption process. The results indicated that the data for adsorption of malachite green onto elaegnus angustifalia seeds fitted well with the Langmuir isotherm model. The adsorption dye dosage capacities for elaegnus angustifalia seeds by Langmuir isotherm were found 28,33 mg.g^-1. The equilibrium time was found to be 60 min. for 100 mg.L^-1 dye concentrations. The rates of adsorption were found to conform to pseudo-second-order kinetics. Gibbs free energy 3172,19 J, Enthalpy 6396 J.mol-1 and entropy 10,72 J. K^-1.mol^-1 were determined. Results indicated that elaegnus angustifalia seeds could be used to remove malachite green dye from contaminated.
