Abstract
The welfare state was adopted by a number of nations during the 20th century, especially after World War II, Welfare State which institutionalised with intention of expansion, lived Golden Age in the process from that period until the 1970s. Later in the 1970s with the economic crisis, the expansion of the welfare state stopped and started going back to the generous welfare state. The most important factor in going to the back, in order to avoid the economic slump, is to adopt neoliberal ideas and the ongoing process of globalization taken shaped by neoliberal ideas.
