STUDENT RESIDENCE PERMIT ACCORDING TO THE LAW ON FOREIGNERS AND INTERNATIONAL PROTECTION

The number of students educating outside their country has increased over the last decades because of the globalization. In this sense, our country is the most important destination of foreign students especially from neighbour countries or those with historical or cultural relations. While the principle of equality between the foreigner and the citizen is prevalent in terms of benefiting from the educational institutions, there are some requirements that foreigners have to supply in this respect.It is generally obligatory for foreigners to study in our country to obtain a student residence permit. In this study application for student residence permit, rights conferred by a student residence permit and documents accepted as student residence permit will be examined in the light of regulation concerning foreigners.
