Abstract :
The objective of this study was to determine the effects of personality dimension and followership style on job performance. A total of 270 teachers from 69 primary schools in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur took part in this study. The teachers have completed the International Personality Item Pool and Kelley Followership Questionnaire. Teachers’ performance was assessed by their Principal by using a questionnaire which was built based on the Borang J.P.A. (Prestasi) 3/2002. Data were analyzed using Two-Way ANOVA. The results showed that there were significant interaction effects between followership style and conscientioness and neuroticism on job performance. However, there was no significant interaction effect between followership style and openness, extraversion and agreeableness on job performance.
