Abstract
This paper presents a discussion of geohazard mitigation efforts in Singapore in light of the increasingly stronger earthquake tremors felt in Singapore, as well as the recent 2004 mega-tsunami earthquake that killed approximately 300,000 people in Southeast Asia. A summary of the different types of geohazards and research on their mitigation is presented. In this paper, the geohazards addressed include earthquakes, tsunamis and rainfall-induced landslides
