Abstract
The social fact that literary translation is a kind of literary process, which itself becomes the beginning of a new literary life and thinking, contributes to the development of intercultural communications, also applies to the translation of the work of the Georgian romantic poet of the 19th century. Nikoloz Baratashvili (1817−1845) in various languages; N. Baratashvili's translations were not published during the life of the poet. The process of translating his works became especially active after the 1920s. the last century. Baratashvili was translated into Russian by both Georgian and Russian poets and translators: V. Gaprindashvili, B. Pasternak, G. Tsagareli, M. Dudin and others. based on the Russian translation, to acquaint readers with the Georgian masterpiece. Especially significant are the Russian translations by B.
